There are alot of real estate strategy out there which will allow you to obtain a piece of property unconventionally. 

Just curious, when you mentioned other strategies, did you mean strategies such as Air B&B, guest homes, glamping, things of that nature?

That will probably be your best bet, to buy a fixer and get it cleaned up and then rent it out.Best wishes and good luck with your endeavors.

While some strategies may work here, those strategies might not suit you.I don't personally do MTR, STR, co-living, or other nuanced strategies.
