You want to earn a few million in five years, put on your suit and head down to Wall Street and see if they are hiring traders (ps they aren't, not unless you went to a Top 10 B-School) Some folks have given you well meaning, but incorrect advice.

Don't be afraid to leave them some $3 Trader Joes/Aldi wine as a welcome gift too - that'll guarantee your positive review :-) Best of luck!

Central to everything - Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Starbucks are all signs.

Anyway its somewhat complicated - so buyer beware    - but overall a sewer system should be great for the area as in-n-out, trader joes, etc.. will be able to do traditional builds rather then complicated septic system/environmental reviews etc.   

Library, movies, restaurants, farmers market, trader Joe's all easily walkable. 

I am looking to do similar and am in the process of educating myself on Japanese Real Estate to do some multi-family investing (to house hack at first, and grow a portfolio beyond). 

You might be a condo expert in Spokane, but if someone wants Farm and Ranch property you could refer that out.....if you have a customer who wants to buy in Tokyo....refer that out to a local Japanese agent.....have a customer who wants to buy a vineyard in Argentina....refer that out to a local vineyard specialist.....
