I have a finance degree and I'd say that has been beneficial for me although I don't work in the field.

I've always wanted to do it but always kind of as a hobby, I'm 54 y.o. with a long career in another field. 

Property administration is a testing field.

You might benefit more from looking at the experiences and investing habits of high function professionals like medical professionals, professional athletes and successful business folk in other time demanding fields.  

I also want a return on my investment for my bachelor's degree in construction management, and staying in that field justifies that. 

So, while I have already had to make the "bigger $ decision" to move forward, it isn't exactly a level playing field when one tries to stand up for a principle and challenge one's own association. 

His job environment is not healthy, so he has been trying to find another job within the same field, just at a different establishment.

Hubby and I will continue to work for now since both of us work in a medical field and hopefully wants to retire soon with passive income.
