My colleague just had a tenant applicant who is moving because their teenage daughter kept getting sick--it was due to a wetness in the basement that caused a monstrous amount of dangerous mold.

I hope my daughters have that drive when they become teenagers.

I've been a fan of the podcasts for quite some time and figured it was time to hop into the fray in the forums.I've had a passion for real estate since I was a teenager and I've been an MLS junky for over 10 years.

Rob: You can always add a basement later as well ... it's not pretty and rather expensive, but I lived though this very event when I was a teenager.:-)

Small consolation when the train that wasn't there when you bought your home now runs 50 feet from your bed.Of course, the "no horn" agreement will last as long as it takes the first drunken teenager to stagger onto the tracks and get himself killed. 

I also knew that this same tenant was a teacher and had a teenager in the home. 

I need to cover husband and 2 teenagers.

@Kenneth Huddleston  I admire the fact that it seems you have thought about your career and future, which is hard to come by these days for teenagers, so kuddos to you!

Renters holding 40 person parties (HOA not pleased), renters who call about a light bulb out and demand someone fix it now or face a bad review, renters screwing up the TV connections - even a couple renting a home for a teenage party that resulted in a bloody bedroom. 

I have been fascinated with real estate since I was a teenager so all areas of the industry interest me, especially residential.
