I tried using turn-key guys to get into a dozen markets at the same time - it didn't work out well as I was entirely dependent on them for results and most were just marketing arms with no muscle or real intention of delivering what they had promised.

On a brick Vicky you have the option of loosing the brick - actually you would be turning it into a thermal mass on the conditioned side of the wall which has benefits - by covering the external wall with 2-4" of hardboard insulation and re-cladding.

I'm a licensed contractor and real estate salesperson in Mass, and I've personally done a couple of rehabs, a tear down (for my now-primary residence) and had some success investing in non-performing notes (@NPN) during the height of the financial crisis.I'm back in the game after a couple years on the sidelines.

Brianna:Banks will try to muscle you into submitting your taxes along with your mortgage payments - here they'll also try to sell you {life/disability} insurance to cover the mortgage in the event you are hit by a bus - however, they cannot force you to pay your taxes through them.

You bring up a good point too, for those that do mass mailings, the law doesn't exempt you.
