@Freddie Bogard, I agree with others that there may be some misunderstanding when it comes to VA loans and you should definitely get a realtor who understands it and can be your voice to help you get the deal. 

There's snow on the ground so I just threw this as a misunderstanding or they couldn't see where the driveway ended with the snow.

Is that no longer the case, or do I misunderstand the rule?
