One thing someone can take advantage of as a winery permit holder to reduce startup equipment costs is use “custom crush” services where customer has a winery permit but the custom crush facility can process the fruit and assist or do all the winemaking in their facility.Good friend of mine has a few of those bottling trucks.. so winery produces he pulls in with his big rig and does all the bottling, Lots of swapping of production and grapes and what not in the industry..

You can continue to 1031 Exchange over your lifetime (swap until you drop) and then when you pass on your heirs will inherit the property at a stepped up cost basis.
