There is no speaker, just people, mingling, sharing experiences, asking questions, and enjoying some local beer.

@Erin Auman before you move forward definitely read and listen to some motivational speakers or tapes.

They sell up to date forms, lobby for us and have monthly dinner meetings with a speaker.  

After a few incidents, during which we used the two-way speaker system to warn them, the issues went away.

best way to do this is go to work for a commercial developer at ground level and get paid to learn  NOT pay to learn..or get your RE license go work for a commercial brokerage and learn how to do deals in the real world not in the make believe world of those that sell how to..the presenters as stated are professional speakers , generally at the set up meetings.. they are not investors and they probably showed you a nice picture of the wife and kids and pleasing pictures of why real estate its all based in MLM very well researched on how to convert to sales.

Don’t recall the details but guest speaker is talking about tax strategies.

I went to an REI meetup event in Atlanta with Brent Daniels--who was a fantastic speaker--and I was certainly out of my comfort zone, but just forced myself to meet new people.

After I attended the seminar in a Real Estate Agency the only thing sink in my mind is " You will get your first client in three months." as the speaker said.
