I have been following the Real Estate Investing industry for a while and just recently decided to put my focus into it and implement a plan I had in mind for years.So I went down to Puerto Vallarta I put together a team of local realtors, brokers, contractors, property managers and a lawyer. 

I would get in touch with a local builder, and see about getting a mentorship on down days and days you have off..

@Grant Shipman Great stuff, I'm a big fan of co-living/rent by room strategy, and I do it here locally in Denver metro, and it is the best strategy in today's market for any house hacker to live for free or make money while living there, but they have to sacrifice personal space.

Thank you all who responded, I plan on spending some time driving the neighborhood and talking to anyone at the local coffee shop who will talk to me. 

Even tried craigslist and local paper once.

I'm a part of local real estate investors meeting and I have some good realtor contacts.

Try and join a few local Facebook pages and connect with locals who are in the house hacking business.
