Are you looking to do a true STR?

It's pitched as easy, guaranteed money on low-entry properties.The reality, of course, is that's too good to be true.

Last week I received a letter from my insurance company stating they were going to discontinue my policy due to the current condition of the property (missing siding) and due to the fact that I am not currently living there (which is not true).I contacted my insurance broker and due to the fact my current insurance company disclosed the cancellation, they could not find another company that would insure the property.I just filed a dispute with the state.

I consider myself a true go getter, if there isn’t a way then make a way. 

I was going to run an STR in the home and he would enjoy a higher rent than from a regular LTR rental AND he would have the property managed too.All was going beautifully.

Because of rising interest rates, returns have not been as strong on properties purchased 2020 to 2023That's true. 

Guests opened the red wine and spilt it all over the beautiful counter tops. 

At the same time isn't less true that most duplexes are not in the MOST desirable areas if you have a family.

I raise this because there’s no true regulations and it’s truly the Wild West of lending with tons of questionable participants.
