Obviously it requires selling a property.You should otherwise try to immerse yourself with the must know’s of lending and lean on subject matter experts you may have come across in your investor career.

I hang my license with a property management brokerage so I can be fully immersed.

You learn a lot at first but when you are immersed in real estate all the time you learn an aspect most real estate investors have a problem with:dealing with people.

So I prefer the idea of getting away for 2 or 3 days and completely immersing myself in the info.  

There aren't as many people as I expected who are passionate about real estate investment, and who chose to immerse themselves in the industry.

After I educated myself with information on this site and the plethora of podcast out there on REI I had no problem writing an offer because I knew deep within that what I was doing was right and the risk I was taking was very minimal because of the countless hours I had spent immersing myself in REI and talking with other RE investors.

I am looking to get immersed in every part of it - not just to steal deal-finding secrets ;) Honestly, even the construction, coordinating, permits, & supplies part would be beneficial.

I'd immerse yourself with multifamily books as well as start studying successful multifamily investors and their companies. 

Hey all,I am just starting out and am fully immersed in the typical literature although still trying to get my hands on the ABC's of Real Estate Investing.  

I strongly recommend jumping in and finding several local meet-ups so you can make some contacts, talk real estate (as much as you can so far), hear all the lingo and territory-info you can get, and be immersed in the reality of REI.
