This industry is full of colourful, but not always reliable players, Craig and Curt are a safe pair of hands.

I suspect that will be a selling point as both political parties try to hand over more inventory to the bigger players.

. ;)Mostly the small MF's are a no man's land in my view - picked over by anyone who has transitioned from small landlord to larger player.   

They have offices all over TX, but are major players in the DFW area.

That is just one of the many players in that area.

Also check if the property is in an hoa for possible dues you may inherit, current/past due property taxes, etc.In addition I suggest U simply attend one to get the lay of the land.. see who the players are  how its functions etc.. most jurisdictions have their set rules they follow and are unique to that county..

They also haven't done much to stop some of the larger players from in investing in CA.

It is borderline impossible to find good help right now, look at postings for houses for rent and see if you find a couple major players in your area and reach out to them.
