Get a west Facing Home (if you get snow) that way your driveway snow and ice melts (other people on our street have it freeze!

I had to tweak a few things here and there in the learning process...but I think I broken the ice a little.

And what about the cost of the extras, like extra cords and ice/water lines, etc etc.

I like to purchase for cash flow and appreciation is icing on the cakeLook back at last meltdown.  

For example, a steep access or driveway -- or even a winding drive up a mountain --  will hurt rentals from late-Nov thru early March as snow/ice will impact access. 

After a little while this would create an ice dam which would then continue up the roof backing water up under the shingles causing roof damage eventually.Another issue I see with it is that it would eventually get plugged up with grit and dirt then water wouldn't flow into your gutter anymore and probably begin to flow where you do not want it to flow.

They come in a wavy glass and ice chips glass version too so they're very hard to see through and let a ton of light in.

I like the cash flow and will take the appreciation as icing on the cake one day.

Generally speaking, I reckon getting less than 1% gross return per month to service the amount you owe on property, is skating on some thin ice.

Put an ice cube in the middle of a table and take readings at various distances... if you're next to the ice you'll get pretty close to 32 (or 0), but as you get further away, the temperature will go up.Also, some materials are better at emitting infrared than others.
