I made the mistake of putting ceramic tile on every floor in about 100 units and many of the apartments turned into nightmares due to not only the tenants who have some strange ability to smash holes in every tile we found out that you can't tile living rooms and bedrooms in 2nd floor apartments because when people move a chair or walk on tile the noise resonates to the apartment below.I had several apartments with laminate flooring and thought it was okay to allow pets.
