When I was house hacking back in the day (long before the term “house hacking” existed, we just called it a flop house then), I rented to both friends and strangers at different times and had a MUCH better experience with my friends. 5 years with friends, never had a single issue: no late rent payments at all and no drama even with 8 of us and 4 dogs in a 4/3 sharing a tiny kitchen, usually with a few dirt bag climbers couch surfing or crashing in their vans outside too.

Some events are more educational (Victor will often spend a good amount of time standing at the front with a mic asking and answering questions) but provide less opportunity to network, while others like REI on Tap are more relaxed and open for everyone to move around and talk freely among each other.

If it was me, with what I've learned about making some money from zilcho, I'd be sleeping on a couch as close to my workplace as I could get and riding the bus.Here are the two excuses about that we always get here on BP: my spouse just...couldn't do something like that.

in theory that all works in practice in todays market in areas were folks are buying rentals it can be pretty toughwhich sometimes leads folks to buy questionable areas just to force the numbers.. so be cautious there.I would only do a first BRRRR local where you can drive there and make sure it goes on schedule and on budget.doing it where you cant drive to it.. takes on another level of risk that no matter how its couched it is risky Just is.
