Are you saying that as a seller, I don't have the right to refuse to sell product to a competitor of mine? 

They had an 8 page application that seemed a little shady to me because it felt like they are trying to seek out inside information about the companies I worked for, like how many employees work there and what's that companies value proposition, who are their competitors, what's their competitors value proposition, etc. 

It is really hard to find enough land to build in town, thus all the newer competitors are on the edges of town. 90% of our customers are in our zip code.

@Graham Heagy Welcome.You may want to start by looking at all your rental competitors to see who, with property like your own, charges the most rent and what amenities they have.

We have a few competitors in the area.

I did, and I worked as a staff trainer, instructor, competitor, and performer until a torn ligament in my ankle sidelined me.  

After all, we did the same 10 years ago.Challenge: I will have a competitor soon, maybe at the same time.

It doesn't like lending money to what is essentially a competitor and is refusing to renew his line of credit.

I can see how creating more of a lifestyle service can set you apart from competitors.
