Hi –I'm gearing up to rent out my SFH for the first time in the next few months, and just trying to get everything in order ahead of time.

We're not anticipating to close until the beginning of November so there is plenty of time for me to figure this all out but I figured it was a good idea to go ahead and post the questions here.If anyone has any experience with this in the Raleigh area and I could send you a quick message that would be much appreciated.

If you think the area you're in is well-suited for travelers, I would go ahead and get settled as an STR before regulations come sweeping in like V.G. said.

Our daily pace report, which compares booked revenues to-date versus a year ago, shows the following:September +19.4%October +17.8%November +19.1%That doesn't mean this is where we end up for these months, just that more vacationers are planning ahead for stays, versus one year ago.  

The costs, rents, and/or sale price is based on the micro-market that house is in, and only includes data from properties of the same  square footage (within 10% either way) as the house in  question.Since in most cases, I will have already analyzed the market ahead of time, all I'm really doing is waiting for a property in that market to become available at that maximum price. 

It was ok to go ahead to buy the property. 

Planning ahead and staying financially disciplined now will set you up for successful growth in the years to come.

In my case, I always tell prospective tenants ahead of time to expect an email from this site, and so far (knocking on wood) no one complained.

Should I go ahead and get my license here in NC or get it in FL?
