I've heard the same for Little Rock and suspect it should be true for the likes of Wichita, KC, Tulsa, and a few other similar markets.If hot means sustained growth well above the baseline for the country look no further than Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, and Nashville.

It seems doubtful that there would be a sustained downward trend in values, simply because for Crestline and Running Springs especially you have people who live up there and commute down into the valley but if fire strikes the area it could be pretty bad short term.
