I recommend you reach out to the proper authorities to pursue this matter.That said, I appreciate you sharing this here so that others might learn from your experience.NO legitimate lender or broker should be asking for significant funds upfront: When the loan gets funded, then they get paid!

When I’m able to, I’ll definitely be pursuing one.

That’s only triggered if you use property management in the 1st place.Any landlord without a Montgomery County Rental License is unable to pursue legal action against a tenant for unpaid rent in the District Court of Maryland and is subject to a civil citation from the Licensing and Registration Unit.

It's pretty and temping but not the best strategy to pursue.

I appreciate the sound advice.While this is probably a wild goose chase, I wouldn't mind playing this out with the seller a bit (for my education at a minimum) and pursuing what you say about making an offer for the land only and letting them keep the trailers.
