Thank you all I look forward to my new adventure. 

But, the issue that I, and many others, run into is funding my adventure.

As a newbie, I'm pretty eager to jump in and start my real estate adventure!

My husband has some long service leave and needs a career break and before our children start school I figured one big learning curve with a potential for a payoff rather than a traditional holiday  would be a rather large adventure for us.

I’m not sure what the entire picture looks like yet or how I will get there but when I ran across the BiggerPockets podcast while looking for something to expand my knowledge and to listen to during my drive in to and from work, it seemed like a godsend.So in summation, thank you to Brandon and Josh for getting me here via podcast, I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of you on this site, and I’m ready to start this crazy new adventure!

If you are more adventurous, I would look for a duplex or triplex in Oakland.  

After realizing the market is essentially gambling, I started looking to real estate as I love the idea of having my money in something physical and real. 

I love all the men and women in uniform joining the REI adventure. 

Good work on owner occing a duplex, tried to get my wife to do that but would not.I invest in MPLS and StP full time amd will not invest in an out of state adventure.
