Just because you've convinced other people to do something with you, doesn't mean you're a great company.I can rattle off a handful of huge companies that convinced people to invest with them and that lost their shirts.

I can foresee a real estate path that allows me to leave my W2 job and the thing that keeps rattling around in my mind is that having a W2 makes getting a conventional loan possible/easier?

If they can rattle off justification without thinking about it, they're probably solid.
