I'd suggest making it fun by watching a documentary or a movie showing the process and how investors prosper... and use that to push the conversation. 

My team informed me that we have to pay transfer taxes (documentary stamp duty) when title is changed.  

Ya the meteor is the one I worry about or comet  then you have the San Andreas  and of course the monster bubble under Yellowstone  all sorts of things that could cause humanity to shift in ways we cant know.That is a wild book/documentary. 

i am not even arguing anymore, I am just curious, this is like an A&E documentary thing, but before your locked up.

There are stories I seen on crime documentaries, where the estate was never probated, taxes were never paid, but too small for the authorities to bother with.

The interesting side is it's more documentary because it all actually happened, the big actors like Brad Pitt are playing real actual people who really did those things.

That ate into all my profits, so I did not want this to happen again.)I get the HUD for this sale and there are 2 line items which are split between buyer and seller - I thought these were buyer costs.Owner Title Insurance (625 each)documentary stamps to WD ($770 each).I've never seen this on my few previous HUDS - except maybe the one where I WAS paying buyer's closing costs...any advice about whether I should question these two items?

BTW, when I hear "smartest guy in the room", I think of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (documentary) which is all about the cocky, scandal-ridden, criminal executives that instigated the greatest corporate fraud in American history.
