Deduct property taxes, electric, internet or cable, lawn care, etc.7.  

then get a couple sheets of FRP ( fiberglass reinforced panel) and glue it up on the walls all around. just make sure you use the right adhesive for FRP, if not it will eat the panel. 

New gas flex line if it's gas and not plumbed directly, *maybe* a few feet of new cable for an electric (but often you can reuse the old cable).If you want to add a drain pan, price that out at the big-box store too - maybe $20 for the pan and $10 for some PVC drain pipe. 

The easy part will be showing it is their fault (you can see in the picture they bore right through my sewer pipe as the cables run right through it, almost dead center through it).It also took a lot of my time.  

All this said, even the #$Ying cable companies demand your social :) Don't rent to them if you feel uncomfortable but this would probably happen again.

Before that, I had a short stint as a cable guy in the hood, which is an eye-opener (nobody cleans up for the cable guy and everyone gets cable).
