I would not put traveling physicians in this category.

According to HUD, a physician, psychiatrist, social worker, or other mental health professional can provide documentation that the animal provides emotional support that alleviates one or more of the identified symptoms or effects of an existing disability.The notice can come from non US Heath care providers, even online providers.

For example, last winter, I rented for 4 months to 3 physician assistant students here for rotations.  

I also have high K1 pass through income from my physician practice which exceeds the 315K such that the 20% pass through deduction does not apply.So in order to reduce my tax burden, I need to reduce my pass through income.  

(Yes, the tenant provided the necessary paperwork from their physician.)
