I'm 19 and purchased my first property on my 18th birthday.

We mostly get the weekends booked for birthdays, anniversaries, etc, and this winter have hosted/had requests for longer term rentals - now slow season here!

When I was planting bushes or flowers I just made sure to be inside what looked my property. 

And of course during all of this time you are saving from your job, your Christmas money, and any birthday money you receive...

However, in terms of monetary payments, I have been setting aside any and all money they get for birthdays and holidays in addition to adding what I believe is a fair days wages for any work they have done for me.
