As a newbie investor you seem quick to go off half cocked and attack what you don't understand.  

I would always recommend Americans basing their RE portfolios in the USA, at least to start...worst case scenario, you can always come back and manage it yourself.Long term thinking, getting paid rent in USD will allows provide that "location independence/global arbitrage" strategy where even just a $1000/monthly cash flow from your US based rentals will provide a very reasonable standard of living in many South East Asia countries.Lots of ways to attack it.  

I love to hear couples diligently attacking their financial prosperity.

I'd definitely say that this forum is the #1 forum in the world for learning & connecting with other real estate entrepreneurs.My two cents... (1) Make sure you have a plan of attack, (2) Take action, take action, take action (especially in the realm of marketing for motivated sellers), (3) Consider starting off wholesaling properties, before you get into rehabbing houses.Best of luck to you my man!

Still have more time than money to use at this point, so I'm attacking it from that angle.

Wanted to ask you all what you think my past plan of attack would be to spend my time accordingly (view homes myself, have a realtor show homes, certain websites to view and research with, etc).  

I just got my license recently, to assist with access, networking, and to fully immerse myself in real estate as well as have another opportunity at income and/or to attack deals in a different way than wholesaling.

I am in the process of attacking social media, driving those leads to my website that will be full of educational material regarding real estate.
