I am going to become a real estate agent in the near future. What are different ways a agent can make money? And is marketing the key to being a successful agent?

@William Brown The only time we have is NOW! Don't put off doing something that you really want to do. There is no better time like the present! As an agent, working your sphere of influence is going to be critical. You should be telling everyone you know - family, friends, coworkers - that you are a licensed agent and you can help them buy, sell, or rent. Tell them to tell their friends, family, and coworkers. I am in the process of attacking social media, driving those leads to my website that will be full of educational material regarding real estate. Learning and understanding your market will prove to be the most beneficial service you can provide to your client.
