My wife and I both work in the airline industry.

If we look at other industries, like the airline industry, we see that events like this only cause slight dents in the upward trend that the industry is having overall.

I went from hanging with kids whose parents were drug addicts and welfare recipients, to hanging out with kids whose parents were airline pilots, and mortgage brokers. 

I am an airline pilot with the ability to travel and live anywhere and am currently being preapproved for my first purchase using my VA loan.  

If holiday season doesn't go okay for all industries, but airlines, I presume Q1-Q2 will be suffocating.

I took early retirement from a major airline 1 1/2yrs  ago, at the age of 55, where I was a A&P mechanic for 24 yrs and now run/own a remodeling company in the Des Moines area.  

I was an IT person for about 20 years up until about a year and half ago when I my company, a large airline, moved it's operations center out of Denver.

While out of college I became an airline pilot, I left that career when I found real estate.

I am looking to get started in real estate investing after discovering the BP podcast, which I stumbled upon a few months ago.I'm an airline pilot by trade and have very little real estate experience outside of the two times I've purchased a house for myself.  

I read a quote somewhere that getting married to save money is like buying an airline so that you can get free peanuts!
