Just Getting Started

Hello everyone. I've been researching real estate for about a year now, and am about to look for my first deal, doing a flip, but having just moved to Colorado Springs (still unpacking) I haven't dug in yet. A little about myself.

I was an IT person for about 20 years up until about a year and half ago when I my company, a large airline, moved it's operations center out of Denver. I didn't want to move, so stayed and looked for a comparable job.  The more I looked, and the more I struggled to find it, the more I realized I really just wasn't into the grind anymore. The IT market is now flooded with young folks who will work for peanuts, so finding a position that paid what I needed to maintain my lifestyle wasn't easy.

I met up with a woman who was really interested in doing home rehabs and she got me pointed in the direction of real estate. I soon stumbled across bigger pockets, and have been listening to the podcasts ever since. She and I actually redid my home in Parker Colorado, doing floors and various other things which added a lot of value, and then I sold it.

So I've got a chunk of cash in the bank, all my debts are paid off, and I'm looking to start finding a flip deal in the CS area.  But where to start?! I mean I know how to analyze deals, I just need to get going. I'm looking forward to meeting people and sharing more about myself and what I'm looking for precisely, but at this very moment I've got to run. I'll post more later.
