I then heard Clayton on the BP Podcast and from there found the wealth of information that is the BP forums.I am getting an idea of where turnkey sits on the spectrum of REI possibilities and still haven't decided if that's the way to go or not for us.  

Drywall, roofing, landscape are going to be at the low end of the spectrum.

I'd like to hear some stories of people on both ends of the spectrum.

Since people are irrational on both ends on the spectrum, is there any way to time when you buy a house and when it will be sold?  

Most places either exist on the very high-end private side of the spectrum (family money, wealthy nervous breakdowns).

I think you can find a wide spectrum of views on TK in BP and it all comes down to what kind of investing do you want to do.  

Thanks, you may have a point that my broad spectrum message is hard for me to articulate in a way that is seperate from the herd of other investors. 

I want to end up buying in great areas, but right now, I need to start on the lower end of the spectrum...it IS So Cal...prices are insane.

I understand the discontent for those doing bad things but honestly it sounds like the bad things are coming from both ends of the spectrum here.

Prices are all over the spectrum depending on your needs and the space.
