Whenever possible we do not install a storm door, unless you are in the open on the west side of a house with modern doors it is not really necessary.

If I do move, I'm considering a house hack on a multi-family, ideally a 4-plex.Honestly, I'm familiar with downtown Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, etc. but nothing past the Galleria on the West side. 

A mile or 2 west and you find a much poorer neighborhoods.
