New job - considering house hack -> Katy/Brookshire

Hey y'all,

I'm currently located in S. Carolina but may be taking a job in Brookshire, TX.  If I do move, I'm considering a house hack on a multi-family, ideally a 4-plex.

Honestly, I'm familiar with downtown Houston, Spring, The Woodlands, etc. but nothing past the Galleria on the West side.  Therefore, I am not sure what's feasible in regards to 1) finding an affordable multi-family out that way and 2) what the unofficial neighborhood ratings would be out that way.

I'd appreciate any advice as I consider my options, and a referral or two wouldn't hurt as well.

Thanks,
Phil

Hey Phil,

Most of the small multi family for sale is located centrally in Houston. I just did a quick search on HAR.com for Brookshire and it looks like there was a pending duplex and an active 4 plex (katy). This site will also give you neighborhood data such at school ratings and other info.

I'm an agent, investor and duplex developer in Houston. Feel free to reach out of you have any other questions or need some help finding a good investment.
