We have been seeing nicer homes around surrounding areas of Denver (specifically Thornton, Commerce City and Littleton) for the same price as they are closer to Denver but offer much more and we are wondering for example Some of our concerns are being far out from most things (5-10 miles) in terms of grocery stores, movie theaters, malls but being only 20 minutes out (15 miles) from one of the biggest medical campuses and close to the airport and we are worried that some the little things like aren't attractive to renters or traveling nurses, being too far out from some things but close to others. 

Personally I believe the state title insurance industry lobbied for this law as they wanted to direct commerce through their own portal. 

Or you can do both--have some market rate rentals and also work on Habitat for Humanity projects, your own lower income housing project, or lobby policy makers for mixed income development.

But we have minor league baseball and hockey, college basketball, baseball and football, 2 drive in theaters, 2 lakes, 2 malls, multiple golf courses, country clubs, 2 skating rinks, an ice skating rink, museums, orchestras, theaters, some amazing parks, and tons of great food - all within 5 - 30 min away. 45-60 min away you have Amish country, major league baseball, basketball and football, Lake Erie, casinos, 3 airports, etc.
