Hi! I'm a brand-new investor, and this is my first post. I'm on the verge of making an offer today on a 3 bd 1bath property in Yucca Valley, and I'm hesitating to pull the trigger. I'd love any opinions on the desirability of an airbnb in the residential neighborhood right above old town (on Elk Road). It has a very small in-ground pool, a fireplace, and a nice large backyard. Asking is $322k, but my offer will probably need to be ~$40k higher. Thanks for any local STR info you can provide!

@Nikki Nicole I thought I'd share the list below. It's an outline put together by a group of investors I chat with. It's some of the latest business development in 29.  

New downtown dev plans. You'll see two design routes the city presented. "Community Corridor" and "General Events Hub". The city and residents voted in favor of the "Community Corridor" design which is by far the way to go to increase tourism and "trendiness". Think alley seating, beer gardens, corn-hole, outdoor bars, appealing to Millenials and Gen Z etc... less pad development and fast food, more private pop-up independent retail and food.
