Cook County is worse than other counties, and Chicago is even worse for the landlords. 

The detached SFR used to have a tenant that smoked more than a year an a half ago, since then I've had another tenant live in the unit with no complaints (we made sure after the smoker moved out to clean and paint the entire house to cover the smell).Should I let this new tenant go under a 'Happy clause'?

Hey all,How do you estimate property taxes on Cook County properties?

They even stole cheap silverware that I noticed missing after cooking a ramen when I returned to assist with getting it rent ready prior to tenant move in.

Chicago and Cook county are a different universe from down here.

They look like they clean and cook well.

I have pet parrots who are incredibly sensitive to the toxic fumes given off from cooking teflon pans, and am concerned that the ventilation in certain homes may bring my tenants fumes into my own living space.
