Meet Your Neighbors (At A Distance)Normally you could knock on your neighbor’s door or volunteer to help them move some boxes, but these days, knowing how to meet your neighbors is a little trickier.

The company I worked with for a long time utilized volunteer labor, donated solar equipment/corporate sponsorships as well as grants to provide solar to low income neighborhoods.

In short, trying to get some experience on nights and weekends will increase your success rate for when you quit your job.For example, working as a leasing agent for a big building would be a perfect way to get started.Another option could be volunteering to sit open houses for agents.

If there are any established multifamily/commercial investors who are looking for someone to do cold calling or deal analysis I am more than willing to volunteer my time in exchange for the experience and knowledge.

We volunteer with Safe Families of Greater Milwaukee which is a group of churches helping families in crisis by taking in kids while parents get stabilized and offering prayer, guidance and support to get them back on their feet (mostly single moms) and we also volunteer teaching financial literacy to teenagers through SecureFutures.
