Most people don't believe in such things and are more concerned about location or the quality of mattress.

I agree with @Jimmy Woodard on the mattresses and linens.

While you're at it, install some of those coin operated massage mattresses?   

Usually, if the owner has an extra $50k stuffed under his mattress, the property would not have gone into foreclosure in the first place.

fyi (camping = air mattress) wanted to get a sense of noise, parking, tenant behavior so I spent two nights - apartments rent for 1500 to 3500 on block depending on size and parking/lobby etc.

People had them behind picture frames on the walls above beds, in alarm clocks next to beds, in the mattresses, and bed frames, he took off outlet covers so he could treat those areas, and down in the baseboard trim we took off that, to get behind.. we finally took up the carpet & pad, they were embedded in the wood carpet tack strips, we took that up .. so the bad unit was treated, and re treated,  and we didn't rerent that for 2 months.

I picked up 3 bed frames (1 full, 1 queen, and 1 twin), 3 mattresses, nightstands, dining table & 4 chairs, mirror, pyrex dishes, secretary cabinet, and a few other knick knacks for $235.What really ate into my budget was things like comforters, bed sheets, lamps, coffee maker, pillows, rugs, etc. — I went to IKEA & Target for those and that came to about $800.

Mattresses will need to be thrown out.

Nothing like slogging wet mattresses and sofas thru the slippery muddy house and yard then haul to the dump.
