I am thinknig of installing a smart door knob and lock so I or the tenant can program temporary codes to allow access when someone needs to show up to fix something.

Anyways- if it were you, would you go ahead and redo the kitchen with new cabinets/granite, and put in new windows - or would you leave them as is - and spruce up the kitchen with a coat of paint to the cabinets as a temporary update , and just wait 5-10 years when it's time to sell to do those type of upgrades/rehab (New windows and New kitchen).

I'm looking for some guidance on how to go about doing this since my contractor quoted that the job would take 1-2 weeks and during that time there would be no access to the unit because there isn't enough room to put a temporary stairway in while they are building.
