There are a lot of scammy youtube gurus that talk about building business credit, but it basically is the same as your personal credit....be organized, don't overleverage, be patient, and pay all your bills on time.In NY to become an LLC, there's a $200 fee and then you have to publish in two newspapers for 6 weeks. 

They will probably require all the articles of organization and EIN paperwork proving everything is legit.

Maybe I am missing something but once I signed up and paid the money I haven’t heard from anyone from this organization since.  

With all that said you need to find a trustworthy organization to deal with, this is key to everything as you really need someone to look after the renovations and management. 

They talk about that at our ULI meetings which is a great organization to get involved with if you want to learn more about real estate and development in urban areas

The problem with your strategy is you are attempting to enter a championship level game as your first foray into a sport.

@Trevor Crabtree- thanks ....before seraching to hard- if you need to use  financing - get fully pre approved with a lender ..its  free and  easy  and this will educate you /  organize you and  prepare you .
