@Mary Jay - You are going to owe penalties and interest on whatever the auditor finds, regardless. 

I called their prior landlords (after confirming names through auditor records).  

The auditors site has the property address but also the mailing address.

If its properties and realestate you are into... learn to scrape the county Auditor for 'EVERY' property... then, add some additional depth by scraping the county clerk's site for deeds, now, bounce that data down again against GIS and geolocation to get a good grasp of not only population density, but amenities , nightlife, dining etc... 

Not specific for STR, but I just received a letter from the Franklin County Auditor that I need an "in-state individual agent with Ohio contact information" to process my Residential Rental Property Registration.

If they are on the auditor you should have both parties sign.

It is difficult to calculate the property taxes in Columbus yourself, but fortunately, Franklin county auditor has a tax calculator that you can use.

all data is public, having an auditor and recorder that has everything digitized is nice.

Bank financing might be out of the picture for my next purchase, so I’m trying to find a seller financed, off market deal - or a cash deal.I am trying to generate leads by looking up multi families in my area on the county auditor - hoping to find a tired landlord and reaching out through direct mail.

This would not pass scrutiny from regulators, auditors, or their loan oversight committee (unless some sort of "shady" institution).
