Ohio real estate wholesaling question

Tevin Gladney
Posted

Hi,

Just about to get my first contract signed in Ohio. Im hearing that the spouse of the owner needs to sign the deed although their name is not on title. Does that mean I need to put the spouses name and signature on the purchase and sale agreement as well?

Thank you,

Tevin

Ohio is a dowery state so spouses need to sign at closing. If they are on the auditor you should have both parties sign. When in doubt have both sign. You should speak to an attorney to get a legal answer on this
