I am currently in the market to purchase a tri-plex with the plan to live in one unit, make upgrades, and rent the other two out.

I was thinking this might work on my property in Redding and can be adapted to a shared housing project for seniors (though I'd want rooms large enough for bed, bath and seating area)  It's my understanding that it is considered a SFR with seperated bedrooms as far as planning.

Personally I like to do things the "right way" and if you plan is to grow you may be better off hiring it out. 

Thank you all who responded, I plan on spending some time driving the neighborhood and talking to anyone at the local coffee shop who will talk to me. 

The plans will probably be developed while the government plans, carries out, or coerces, clean up, and puts liens on the properties being cleaned up. 

It's just a matter of time until they orchestrate an updated immigration plan.

We plan to build a cabin or cabins for our family use and an STR.

Make it $5k and add a "monthly payment plan" now were talking only 20k sales to hit $100milliion.....
