I couldn't tell if your plan was to Brrrrr or if this was an intentional value add play, but either way I think you did yourself a favor over the long haul.  

There was a smaller house I looked at buying once that reeked and I toyed with the idea of painting and just renting it out smelling like smoke with it being a smoking unit.  

I did question the hours and he did say the hours included on site and off site hours needed to pick up the materials also waste needed to hauled away and disposed of.

We did buy it down but will get that $ back in less than two years and we’re in it for the long haul.
