@Lorenzo Caballero I'm sorry to hear this happened brother, but don't beat yourself up too much because sh%t happens, that's just life.

I know a homeowner who has owned his home since 1996 and currently renting it to a tenant, he is close with the family my brother married his daughter. 

My brother is a huge inspiration to me and and very smart person, somehow we switched rolls after our high school days where I was top 5% of my class academically and he was probably down in the middle more.However he has become one of the best business men, and all around greatest, strongest, person I know and he bought his first rental property last year.

My brother showed me this site because he has begun the steps to becoming a rental property owner.

It is a bank that my brother and I have been working with for 10+ years so that may be part of it also.

Ideally my brother and I would buy the property together and form an LLC and run as a business.However, my wife doesn't want to enter a "business" relationship with my brother, but instead suggests that we purchase the properties individually (since they are both on seperate deeds).

You guts to be hungry brother!!

My brother was 82nd Airborne and I've worked with a lot of Vets and one universal issue I have found is the military environment is not conducive to building and maintaining credit depth or history.
