Hello, My name is Michelle. I currently live in Lakeland FL. My brother showed me this site because he has begun the steps to becoming a rental property owner. He and I had been discussing our options for a almost 2 yrs now and he just told me that he should be closing on a deal this week for a 3 family home. The only problem is he and I live so far apart from each other so I can't just go to his house and learn the ropes. Looks like I will be doing this alone, well with my fiancé of course, but you understand. I need to find connections to this real estate world. I have no clue where to start.

My goal is to begin with at least a duplex, move into one unit and rent the other. If I'm lucky a triplex would actually be better but for now I am keeping my options open. Either way this would be a property that my family and I would move into and rent the other unit(s). At this time, all my ideas have been nothing more than just ideas, but I want to put some traction on these and start moving them forward. No action gets no results and only broken dreams. I have big dreams and I am not afraid to put in the work to accomplish each goal I have set forth. :-)
