Hello Bigger Pocketeers!

Hello everyone, just want to introduce myself here and give some background on myself before I start going around asking questions. My name is Austin, I currently live in the outskirts of Roanoke, Virginia. Moved here from Holland township NJ in April of 2016 with my wonderful, now fiancé, Julia when I was just 22 so I could start my own business, and we could really start our lives together. I own and operate Auto Finesse LLC, which is a mobile automotive body and paint repair company. Pretty cool right? So thankfully business started, and continues to be great! However I soon realized, though I kind of always knew, I do not want to do physical labor for the rest of my life. Being that I am my business at this point, the fact that if I'm not working, I'm not making money, can clearest cause some concern. That said, while business is doing well at the moment, I don't like having all of my eggs in one basket. My brother is a huge inspiration to me and and very smart person, somehow we switched rolls after our high school days where I was top 5% of my class academically and he was probably down in the middle more.

However he has become one of the best business men, and all around greatest, strongest, person I know and he bought his first rental property last year.

With some sight of how it worked for him, I found myself here at bigger pockets. I’ve been listening to podcasts at least twice a day nearly every week day since July/August of 2017. I’ve learned a lot, but there is so much information on real estate it is unreal! Ha.. pun not intended.

Anyway... so that’s me, and how I got to where I am today. My fiancé and I bought our house in December of 2016, and with business doing well I want to invest in our rental property. We are actually meeting with a realtor and management company (same owners) today so we are excited to get things taken to that next step!

I would love to make it to the day where I can step away from the physical end of my current business and plain and simple, spend time with my family with the ability to go where, when ever feel like it. The ultimate dream! I’m hoping real estate can be a vehicle to help us achieve that dream. 🙂
