This does not mean you can leave the unit vacant for 6 months (not that I'm accusing you of wanting that) but it also does not mean you can be forced to accept a less desirable tenant nor can you be forced to lower your rent.

As we have witnessed in the past, specifically the years of 2020-2022, when rates dropped, everyone jumps in to buy a house, which drives up competition, which in turn makes housing prices go WAY UP to the point that people OVERBID on properties.

Talk to whoever handled closing and find out if you can charge her with theft or something similar (can't think of the name-not fraud) as she has your money.at least you signed paper work in front of a notary, so have a witness and paper trail.
