It is very algorithmic-ly dictated based on and numbers and percentages. 

Other comments on this thread are great, as someone who can speak from experience(even in this local) don't let a girlfriend dictate how you invest, ever.

Each market, each submarket and each mall will dictate the use of this space.I don't think online shopping, per se, is killing malls.

And a little update on your grand-plan that CA needs to go hardline communist, take all the property and dictate what if any compensation for such will come, some day.....

I don't think the size of ones portfolio dictates their effectiveness in investing.

Again, you market should dictate how you interact with tenants but generally speaking partial rent payments shouldn't be reasonable.
