Partial rent payments

Cynthia Lee
Posted

Hi,

Anyone have experience accepting partial rent payments? I will be serving a 10 day notice of non-payment of rent and read partial payments could be accepted without waiving right to terminate if the agreement is made in writing. Should I do this or has anyone had experience where this makes it more challenging to reach an eviction in court? Any advice appreciated.

Don't accept ANY partial payments. These situations don't get better, they always get worse.

Push forward with your eviction and cut your losses.
