Web rent management systems such as cozy.co make it easy. 

It's quite far from Downtown LA (probably 2 hours with traffic at least) but it's still part of LA County.

The only lead I found was a web page saying "We no longer service any loans.

I had the opportunity to make my way back up there not too long ago, and saw that the traffic is just as I remembered.

Hello fellow Canadians, I had been investing in US mainly due to their good web infrastructures on finding deals and managing them through property managers. 

Buying your first property off of a web site with your IRA money sounds like a recipe for heartache.  

A private family lives there, and traffic issues abound.  

Also, county or city traffic departments have that information.
